The New V8 Vantage features a raft of enhancements including an all new 4.7-litre 420bhp (426PS/313kW) entry-level engine. A choice of transmissions; a six-speed manual with an additional option of our advanced seven-speed Sportshift™ II. With an additional gear, closer ratios, lower final drive and a quicker, refined shift quality, this new gearbox – designed and manufactured specifically for Aston Martin – provides faster and more precise shifts for a pure sports car experience.

Also available as a rakish roadster, the New V8 Vantage features completely re-engineered dynamics.
Quicker steering, bigger brakes and wider tyres make V8 Vantage even more responsive and exciting to drive. A new steering column installation, re-valved power-steering pump and a quicker ratio of 15:1 compared to 17:1 on the previous model ensure the new V8 Vantage steers with incredible precision and exceptional agility.

We took our definitive sports car and went further, we used our racing expertise to create a V8 Vantage with more power, sharper handling and an even greater response, we created the V8 Vantage S.
This is the most generously equipped and highest performing V8 car we’ve produced, the best V8 in our history. Developing 436PS at 7300rpm and 490Nm (361lb ft) of torque at 5000rpm the Vantage S’s engine is tuned perfectly to complement the Sportshift™ II close-ratio seven speed automated manual transmission. A sports exhaust system unique to the ‘S’ delivers a rousing soundtrack, totally in keeping with the sporting intensity of the driving experience.

No other company could have done it. Take our most powerful engine, take our most lightweight sports car, and combine them. We created the V12 Vantage, our ultimate sports car.
Specifically engineered to fit our V12 engine, we didn’t compromise on the classic Vantage design, we added bonnet vents to increase airflow and give a more assertive look. Producing 517 PS and 570 Nm (420 lb ft) of torque, this remarkable evolution of the Vantage has a top speed of 190 mph (305 km/h) and 0-62 mph (0-100 kp/h) time of 4.2 seconds.

There was only one thing left, take the sporting performance of the V12 Vantage and make it lighter, make a car that our customers had clamoured for, the V12 Vantage Roadster.
A strictly limited edition, the V12 Vantage Roadster represents everything that is great about Aston Martin. Our world-leading design, our advanced engineering, our industry-leading technology – we combined them all and created a car that offers so much sporting performance whilst never compromising on comfort and design. The V12 Vantage is the pinnacle of the Vantage range, the V12 Vantage Roadster is its most exhilarating form.
Since then GT4 versions of the V8 Vantage have become a global force to be reckoned with, spawning one-make race series and winning their class in Dubai, Nürburgring, Silverstone and Spa 24-hour races. 2012 saw the release of the V12 Vantage GT3 which has taken 18 race wins and 30 podium finishes in its first competitive year. Based on the V12 Vantage road-car but then adapted for the track this is the latest chapter in the Vantage story, a story of purebred Aston Martin sports cars.

How to improve the design of the world’s most beautiful four-door sports car? Our world-leading design team created unique new styling. Two examples; a new rear deck profile enhances aerodynamics, a new full-face aluminium grille honed as a single piece by hand creates a striking front profile.

A MODERN DESIGN
IN TRIBUTE TO THE PAST
Designing any Aston Martin is an incredible challenge, designing a new car in the legendary collaboration of Aston Martin and Zagato, a partnership that has created some of the greatest cars in the world, that’s a real challenge.
We took the classic design of the DB4 GT Zagato, and created a 21st century concept. Our designers went head-to-head with Zagato’s famed design team to deliver an Aston Martin Zagato fit for today. Two designs, one car – the Aston Martin V12 Zagato.
Unveiled at the 2011 Villa d’Este Concours d’Elegance, the V12 Zagato was awarded the Concorso d’Eleganza Design Award for Concept Cars and Prototypes. Lauded by judges, clamoured for by customers, we knew this was only the start of a journey.
But design isn’t everything, truly great cars are tested for performance…
THE ULTIMATE TEST
No other company would even consider racing a concept car, we did, twice.
We took the same car that had won at Villa d’Este and rebuilt it to compete in the gruelling Nurburgring 24hr race just two weeks later. But why enter only one concept? We entered two. They both completed the race, 24hrs averaging over 120mph, nose to tail with some of the greatest GT cars in the world. Once again iconic design had been married with race track proven engineering.

FROM CONCEPT TO PRODUCTION
We could have stopped there. We could have closed this chapter of the Aston Martin, Zagato relationship. Our customers wouldn’t let us. Two months after appearing at Villa d’Este the response had become overwhelming. We had to build it, the creation of a strictly limited run of V12 Zagato road-cars was announced.
The journey was complete; history had been made with the creation of a fitting tribute to the 50 years of an enduring collaboration, we had created the Aston Martin V12 Zagato.
